Sisters,
Our Christmas luncheon held at the Bradenton Country Club on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 11:30 was beautiful, just about everyone there had been playing, singing or telling us about another up coming event for which they were involved. Again, we are indebted to Estelle Schultz for the arrangements.
The board will be meeting on JAN. 8 – 2:00 P.M. (SUN.) at the home of Carole Cornman Fetterman, and the next general meeting will be FORMAL in FEB. 11 – 2:00 P.M. (SAT.) SAI IN SONG /Carole Fetterman at the home of Barbara Staton
Co-hostesses: Pat Higinbotham, Jackie Stopp, Marilyn Allen, Nancy Trowbridge
The Florida Music Teachers Convention is coming up Jan 12-16 in Orlando, I will be attending. I don't know if there will be a booth there for SAI but I'll try to at least wear my pin or lanyard to promote our presence in the area.
Lambda Province weekend is scheduled for January 27-28 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Zeta Tau Chapter informs us that the focus will be on Music Therapy. We did not participate last year, so it would be good if some of us would attend. I have registration forms and will bring them with me at the Nov. meeting. They are also requesting performers for their musicale.
Our National Convention will be in Atlanta August 2-6. Its theme is also in the area of Music Therapy: The Healing Power of Music. There is a call for convention presenters and performers. Alice has the forms and info.
In SAI,
Francesca
