April:
Dear Sisters,
Our joint luncheon with the Tampa Alumnae Chapter will take place on
May 16 at 11 AM
at
Macaroni Grill
132 Brandon Town Center Dr, Brandon, FL 33511
***Please note this is a different location than listed in the yearbook.*** Mimi's Cafe double-booked and cancelled our reservation (how rude!)
Cost is $16 with meal (including salad) and water, $18 if you want a beverage. This includes tax and gratuity (Menu below).
We'll have our joint formal meeting first, including officer installations, then we will eat.
It will be a great time and I am looking forward to seeing each of you!
Love & Roses,
Stephanie

For those who weren't at Saturday's (April 11) meeting, you missed a great program by Carole Luzio and Barbara Jensen! For details and a photo click on the 'Meeting Notes' menu heading. We welcomed the new slate of officers and had a lovely feast of chicken and tuna salad sandwiches on croissants, trimmings, followed by cake.
There is some confusion about next month's meeting location. The situation is being resolved but is not final yet. Please email Carole Luzio for updates and also check these pages.

Alice Moerk presented the following FRED program at the January 10 meeting.
"My SAI chapter -- Alpha Tau at Carthage College - initiated coloratura Virginia MacWatters as an honorary member in 1959 when I was a senior & president of the chapter. Virginia was a family friend -- our families went way back & she became my mentor as well as heroine. I brought my scrapbook of materials about her & her residency at the college including my cherished picture of Virginia and a very young me. I also brought the only recorded version of her voice singing the first recording of the original coloratura version of Strauss' opera, Ariadne auf Naxos."
