SAD NEWS
Addendum
Dear Sisters,
It is with great sadness I inform you that our dear sister Vivian has passed away. We will all miss Vivian's kind, funny, and upbeat personality. She has been a great asset to our chapter and will be missed dearly. I will pass on infomation about her service as I receive it.
Love and Roses,

Letter from the President
Dear Sisters,
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are enjoying
your new year and this beautiful weather we've been having! Chris and I had a
very blessed Christmas with Olivia and various family members and friends. We
were fortunate to be able to enjoy some of the events in the Perlman Program
Winter Residency. Olivia was starstruck to see Itzhak Perlman live in person
teaching the "big kids." Chris and I learned a few things from his teaching
techniques, and enjoyed his sense of humor. He has such a way of being
encouraging and supportive, even when offering critiques. The students played
so beautifully it was hard to believe they were just students and not young
professionals, and even sang surprisingly well for being instrumentalists. I
am really proud that our SAI chapter supports this wonderful program, which is
a memorable experience not just for the students involved, but also the
community (there are over 20 free events open to the public!).
Our Lambda D
Province Day will be held at USF on February 2, and our chapter meeting that
was previously scheduled for February 2 will be moved up a week to January 26
(ame time and place). We'll be featuring performances by students of our
members. We are all very excited about our upcoming Pat Stenbery Memorial
Concert on March 3. It's going to be a great show. Alice has prepared the
tickets, and will be sending them out.

and Roses,

PLEASE HELP OUT
Estelle won't be attending the January 26 meeting, so we'll need someone else to pick up Vivian and Marilyn.
PROVINCE DAY
Due to Province Day being scheduled on February 2, our February meeting is rescheduled a week earlier to January 26. It will still be at 2 PM at Barbara Jensen's home, and will still feature students of SAI Alumnae.
Our Lambda D Province Day will be held at USF on February 2 (this is why we have re-scheduled our chapter meeting to January 26). Many of you have received communication from the Province Day chair from USF, Elizabeth Osborn, but it has been brought to my attention that some of have not recived it, so I am forwarding it on to make sure.
I have attached the registration form for the event. You may return this form directly to the address on it, but they have requested that our chapter send just one check to cover our fees. So if you are going to province day, please let our treasurer Sue Byerly [email protected] know right away, and send her your check for $25 or give it to her at the January 26 meeting.
Thank you!
Love and Roses,
Stephanie Daige,

Letter from Elizabeth Osborn
The price for registration will be set at $25. This price includes breakfast, lunch, basic supplies, as well as a gift. To make it easier for payment, we are requesting that Sisters write checks or give money to their chapter treasurers, and then have the treasurer write one check to send to me. However, we do understand this might not be possible for everyone. Therefore, it is fine if a check is included with the registration form.
The registration form can either be mailed to the address on the top of the form. Which is the School of Music at USF, attn: Sigma Alpha Iota, or it can simply be scanned and emailed back to me at [email protected]. I am fine with either method.
Just a reminder to please let me know if there are any honors or member affiliations taking place beyond the Pledging Ceremony for planning purposes. Also, please remind your chapter they will need their Song Books. Additionally, since there is a ritual taking place, formal pin attire is required.
Please do not hesitate to text, call, or email me if you have any questions.

Elizabeth Osborn
